Hungary

The Hungarian ANY Security Printing Company Plc. is engaged in complex solutions in the field of documenting security products, production and personalization of plastic cards and bulk transaction printing. Besides that the company produces MasterCard and VISA Bank cards for many domestic and international banks, it is one of the greatest document producing and personalizing companies in Hungary.

Appeninn – founded in 2009, listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange since 2010 – is one of the most dynamically growing real estate investment and asset management companies in Hungary. Appeninn is continuously expanding its property portfolio in the class A office building, retail property and tourism markets, in Hungary and in the Central Eastern European region, both through acquisitions and own developments.

The Company was founded at the end of 2007 by well-known and acknowledged public figures and insurance experts from Hungary. Its leading products are the unit-linked life insurances and the pension insurances but CIG Pannónia also sells traditional life insurance, funeral insurance, endowment and term life insurance products and health insurance. On 1 September 2010, the Company became a public limited company and is now called CIG Pannónia Life Insurance Plc.

Magyar Telekom is the leading telecommunications service provider on the Hungarian market. The company also operates in Montenegro and Macedonia, however only 18% of its EBITDA comes from these regions. Its activities cover three basic business segments: fixed line and mobile communications services for residential customers, services for SMB customers and corporate services provided to enterprise customers.

Masterplast is one of the leading stock exchange listed business service providers focusing on insulation materials and solutions in the Central- Eastern-European region.
Today Masterplast has manufacturing sites in 3 countries: Hungary, Romania,Serbia and through the international export partners is present as a wholesaler with its own products in whole Europe, in North America and North Africa.

MOL Group is an integrated Hungarian oil and gas group having a presence in 33 countries and employing 26,000 people. Its yearly hydrocarbon production is approximately 40 million boe. The company’s core markets are in the CEE region, while it also has exposure in WE, Middle East, Asia and Africa.

OTP is the number one bank on the Hungarian market. Besides its local presence, the bank is also active in other countries, such as Bulgaria, Russia and Ukraine while it maintains subsidiaries in Slovakia and Romania as well. Besides its traditional banking operation it provides specialized services including for instance car leasing or investment funds.

Richter, founded in 1901 is a vertically integrated pharmaceutical company mostly with CEE and CIS focus and an aim to become a specialty pharma company. The company manufactures more than 200 drugs, and its product line includes original, generic and licensed products.

Waberer`s is the leader owned vehicle operator in international full truckload (FTL) transportation in Europe and market leader in Hungary in the field of domestic freight and complex logistics services. Waberer`s fleet of over 3550 truck-trailers, of an average age of approximately two years, completed some 450 million kilometres on European roads in 2016.

Wizz Air is the largest ultra low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, operates a fleet of more than 65 aircraft. Very low ticket prices make Wizz Air the preferred choice of 20 million passengers per year. Wizz Air is listed on the London Stock Exchange and included in the FTSE 250 index.

Romania

BT is the third largest bank in Romania after Erste’s and Société Générale’s local units. BT is mostly active in the Transilvanian region and focuses on SME corporates and retail clients. The bank has almost 550 units in Romania and Italy and serves approximately 1.89 million active clients.

BRD is the second largest bank in Romania and focuses on three main activities: retail banking services, corporate & investment banking and other specialized services like financial leasing, insurance and pensions. The bank is one of the major financiers of SMEs and the corporate banking market in Romania. BRD’s majority is owned by Société Générale since 1999.

BVB is providing exchange services in Romania and itself is also publicly listed on the exchange. It operates two markets, the Regulated Market, which is the main market and AeRO market, which secures trading opportunities of SMEs’ securities, launched on 25 February 2015. The Group’s revenue is generated by four business segments: trading services, post-trading services, registry services and FCI services.

DIGI is one of the largest telecommunications provider in Romania. The company offers fixed-line and television services at the Romanian and Hungarian markets, while the mobile telecommunication services contributed to its key position at the Romanian market with its below average prices.

Electrica is a dominant player on the electricity distribution and supply market in Romania. The core business of the company is distribution, which is a stable regulated division. Moreover Electrica offers supply, maintance and energy-related services nationally.

Fondul Proprietatea is a joint stock company operating as a closed-end investment fund without a set lifetime. The Fund was established by the Romanian Government in 2005 to compensate those who lost property under former communism.

Petrom, majority-owned by OMV, is an integrated oil & gas company in Romania, with some activity in Kazakhstan and the Balkans. It produces ca. 180,000 boepd oil & gas, of which approximately 96% is related to Romania. The company also conducts refining and marketing activities.

Romgaz is the largest domestic natural gas exploration and production (E&P) company in Romania, producing ca. 50% of Romanian output (c.5bcm of gas p.a.) The company dwells on the implementation of the latest technology in geologic exploration, gas production and underground storage, financed from its own or external sources.

Transelectrica transmits electricity long distance on its grids and supervises the energy balance of Romania, therefore it is in a monopolistic position. Moreover the company manages and operates the electricity transmission system and provides the electricity exchanges between the central and eastern European countries as an ENTSO-E member.

Transgaz is the sole operator of the Romanian Natural gas Transmission System (NTS) thus responsible for the domestic gas transportation and transit of natural gas from Russia (via Ukraine) to Bulgaria and to the Balkan Peninsula. Like other Romanian utility providers the company has paid high dividend yield throughout the years.

Austria

Erste Group is a universal bank with 40% of its operations in the CEE region. The Bank has significant subsidiaries in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. Its core business in the CEE region focuses on capital markets, the public sector and interbank business as well.

OMV AG is one of Central and Eastern Europe’s largest integrated oil and gas companies. Its main activity is the production of hydrocarbons. OMV also has an annual refining capacity of 17.8 mn tons and approximately 3,800 filling stations in 11 countries. OMV operates a gas pipeline network in Austria and gas storage facilities in Austria and Germany.

Raiffeisen is an Austrian bank with CEE and emerging market focus, 15 markets of the region are covered by subsidiary banks. Besides its traditional banking activity the company offers other financial services, for instance in the fields of leasing, asset management as well as mergers and acquisitions. The Bank is majority owned by Raiffeisen Zentralbank.

Verbund provides integrated electric generations, transmission and distribution services in the Austrian market. The Company produces power through hydro-electric and wind power generators. Together with its subsidiaries and partners Verbund covers all sectors of energy supply completely.
